Success for local operator at national coach and bus awards

Perryman’s Buses were recognised as winners at the Route One Operator Excellence Awards, held on the 5th October 2011 at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.

The awards, organised by leading trade magazine Route One, recognises excellence in the operation of coaches, buses and minibuses.

Perryman’s were the winners in the category for Small Bus Operator of the Year (1-30 vehicles).

Commenting on the company’s success, Richard Perryman says:

“We are absolutely thrilled to win this award, it recognises our company’s commitment to providing our customers with the best possible service. It’s the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by all of our staff. In recent times our industry along with many others have faced very tough trading conditions but to ‘‘Ride the Storm’’ and come out being recognised with this award is an absolute delight. Obviously our continued growth wouldn’t be possible without the loyal support from our Customers for which I am very gratefull. The awards presentation was hosted by the Editor of Route One magazine, Mike Morgan, and Garry Richardson, from BBC Radio 4 sport. “These are the premiere national awards for the coach and bus industry,” says Mike Morgan. quote “Perryman’s were up against the best of the best in the country so this is therefore a well-deserved and a significant achievement. The New 10-Journey Tickets

We are always looking for ways to make travelling by Perryman's Buses easier for you. For a trial period we are introducing new special-priced tickets that are valid for ten journeys. To get your 10-Journey Tickets, simply buy them on board.

Berwick Town 10-Journey Ticket

You can use this ticket on services B7, B6, B2, B11, B3 and 241, allowing you travel anywhere in Berwick town. The ticket is just £10 (£7 for children) and is valid for 6 months from when you purchase it.

Routes 235/253

With fuel prices seemingly increasing all the time, at Perryman's Buses we are helping you beat the fuel increases by introducing our 10-Journey Ticket on routes 235 and 253. Here are just a few examples of how much you could save:

Route 253

Dunbar to Edinburgh - £33.60, saving you £14.40*
Haddington to Edinburgh - £24.50, saving you £10.50*
Berwick to Edinburgh - £75.00, saving you £25*

Route 235

Eyemouth to Berwick - £17.50, saving you £7.50*

Berwick Town Services - New Timetables Available

Perryman’s Buses have met with both the County Council and Berwick Town Council to review the need for further small alterations to improve the bus routes and timetables in Berwick upon Tweed.

As a result, a number of improvements have been made to town services that address issues raised from the changes made last September. These include many of the journeys on B2 extending from the Railway Station to North Road, and a better service to Tweedmouth for the post office and surgeries.

These changes will take place from Monday 28th February 2011.

Service 253 - Change of Departure Point

Our 253 service from Edinburgh to Berwick upon Tweed now leaves from Stance 8 at Edinburgh Bus Station, not Stance 7.

This change was was made by Edinburgh Bus Station.

Tesco, Berwick Opening: New Timetables

To coincide with the new Tesco store opening in Berwick we have made some changes to our time tables with effect from Monday 13th September. These changes are supported by Northumberland County Council & Tesco.
