Perryman's Buses

We operate a number of bus services from our two depots in Berwick Upon Tweed and St. Boswells. Our network covers many towns and villages in North Northumberland, the Scottish Borders, East Lothian, Midlothian right the way up to the City of Edinburgh – Scotland’s beautiful capital.

We run a number of cross-border routes between England and Scotland. One such route, the popular service 67 linking Berwick-Upon-Tweed with Galashiels, was recently featured in Bradt Publishings Guide Book "Bus Pass Britain" as one of Britain's top 50 bus journeys.

Perhaps one of the most individual bus routes in the country is route 477, linking Berwick with Holy Island, which we operate on behalf of Northumberland County Council.  The reason it is unique is due to part of the road that the bus operates along being completely submerged by the North Sea when the tide is in! The timetable for the route changes daily depending on the tides, so be sure to check the timetable carefully.

Here at Perryman's we have a modern fleet of Low Floor Buses fitted with state of the art technology including digital CCTV and GPS tracking.  Some are equipped with next stop audio announcement equipment and our latest vehicles are fitted with Telematics systems which can be accessed remotely to monitor live vehicle and driver performance from our control room.

The safety of our passengers is of the utmost importance - therefore our new vehicle specification includes CCTV and three-point seatbelts as standard . We feel this stands us apart from your average bus operator.
